Chicken Gyro

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ⅓ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 pita bread rounds
  • ½ cup cubed cucumber
  • ½ cup diced tomato
  • 5 oz plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated cucumber
  • ⅓ teaspoon salt
  • Juice from 1 small lemon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the oregano, basil, garlic salt, onion powder, and olive oil. Add chicken and turn to coat.
  2. Heat a grill pan over medium heat (spray the grill pan as necessary). Place chicken on the hot pan and grill chicken for 6-7 minutes per side or until done. Remove chicken and keep warm.
  3. In a bowl, combine the yogurt, garlic, cucumber, salt, and lemon juice, stir.
  4. Warm pita rounds in the microwave.
  5. Slice the chicken breasts and divide the chicken slices between each pita round.
  6. Top the chicken with cucumber and tomato and drizzle with sauce.
